dataKAVA - what is it?
dataKAVA provides web based automated csv reporting, via a secured web application that stores your text and CSV files into a SQL database,
allowing you to instantly run customised reports in HTML, PDF and Word formats, on your data.
It provides permissions and roles administration, data manipulation tools and history tracking for usage and data changes. With easy printing
and data navigation, this system is easily adapted to suit a variety of business applications.
Being a web application, we thought this a great platform for utilising AJAX methodologies for their desired purpose : intuitive and seamless database
interaction. By definition, this is a Web 2.0 application, although we do not particularly promote that fact. We recently delivered another application
written on this same AJAX engine. The clients didnt realise it was running over the internet, it was that quick!
Recently Esonica has been working towards its first release of ASPJax, the
ASP/AJAX Engine that this system and several others have been written on.
How does it work?
You begin by coming to this website, and securely logging in using your supplied username and password. You can then choose from the following options :
Manage Data: upload new csv and text files, edit raw data sets, rollback changes, manage filesets.
Reporting: create and share customised reports, view and review saved reports, run template reports (eg. Daily Trends, Monthly Summary)
Permissions: (administrators only) add, edit, and remove user profiles. View usage reports and database statistics.
My Profile: update and manage your contact details and system profile, reset your password, view your personal usage reports.
Each time you upload a new CSV file, we store this information into your secured SQL Server database, as well as retain the original CSV file, to allow rollbacks and changes tracking.
If you have large amounts of historical data stored as text/csv files, we also provide a bulk uploading and processing service.
